As lead pastor I want to welcome you to Northridge. I grew up in Canada right beside the Rocky Mountains in Southern Alberta. Before coming to Mitchell I spent sixteen years in full-time ministry as both a youth pastor and a worship pastor. God had been working on my heart and has led me to Northridge to be the lead pastor and I am so glad to be here serving Him in this way. We moved here in July of 2011 and are having a great time getting to know people and the “ins” and “outs” of living in this great city.
Maria and I have been married since 1998 and we have two children – James (Jamie) and Kathryn (Katie). We love to go camping, ride bikes, watch a good movie, and go for slurpees together.
In my free time you will usually find me restoring or riding a motorcycle, or an old car. I also love working on tasks around the home like building and remodeling. Softball, football, basketball, baseball, golf, hockey, hunting, fishing, playing guitar, and singing seem to fill any other time that I have.
If you want to connect with me look me up on facebook or twitter. Talk to you soon!
Paul Manson here. I serve as Pastor of Equipping and Serving which means I get to help Northridgers discover how they are uniquely created to serve in God’s Kingdom. I am new to Mitchell after spending the past 24 years in college and church ministry in Brookings.
I am married to the lovely Ruth Manson and we have two great kids, Jon and Katie. In my spare time, I love to ride my motorcycle with family and friends (actually, with anyone!) and I also love to hunt and fish.
Contact me if you have any questions about where you might fit in at Northridge or if you just want to get a cup of coffee!
My position at Northridge allows me the opportunity to work with students and their parents. I have been working with students for more than 20 years and have been ministering in South Dakota for almost half of that time. I will be the guy your students will be talking about as I work to get to know them better. I would love to talk to you even if your child(ren) does not attend any student ministry event at Northridge. Faith training begins at home and I would be honored to help you to be prepared for the questions your child(ren) will pose.
I love hanging out and hearing someone’s faith journey or listening as they share the biggest problems they are facing today. I enjoy playing video games and being schooled by my son when we play together. I ran a coffeeshop in Brookings. So, if you want to get a coffee drink somewhere in town and want to talk, I am your guy.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. I met my wife Peggy in High School and we were married not too long after she graduated. We are now the proud parents of three grown children: Erin, living in North Dakota with her husband Joe and our first grandchild Seth. Allie, living in Montreal Quebec, Canada with her husband Emmanuel and our second grandchild Crystal. Jimmy our youngest attending Crown College studying Pastoral Ministry and Worship Arts.
I look forward to seeing you at Northridge or around town. Thanks for stopping by.
I have been working part-time as Worship Director at Northridge since 2001. It has been an awesome privilege to lead the worship ministry and see the team of vocalists, instrumentalists and technicians grow over the years. Playing the piano each week in the band is a great joy, as well as planning the songs and other creative elements in the worship service. Music has always been a big part of my life, and it’s great to be able to serve the Lord and our Northridge family in the creative arts.
In addition to music, I also enjoy spending time with my family: my husband Roger, and our three children – Brianna, Ben and Emily.
As the ministry assistant since 1998 I work not only with the staff but everyone to make ideas become reality. It’s exciting to see God move in and through others to accomplish Kingdom goals. I also serve the Converge Heartland district as the Director of Women’s Ministries for 57 churches. To be in full time ministry is a privilege I do not take lightly.
Hi! I am Pam Thomsen. I joined Northridge staff in November of 2011 and am learning new things all the time. My background is finance, but I have been a stay at home Mom for the last 15 years. I love being part of a team that makes all decisions with Christ as the backdrop.
Some of my interests are spending time with family, bible study, building relationships, going for walks, and being open each day to see where God is going to lead me. He always makes it interesting.
God has blessed me with my husband, Jerry; two sons, Deryk and Cody, both attending University of Sioux Falls; a daughter and son-in-law, Trish and Charlie Bates, which both are very busy working at local businesses and being parents of two of hte most precious children, Lincoln(7) and Bentley(5).
My name is Duane Lippert and I have been a member since the late 70’s. It has been my privilege to participate in the transformation of Northridge to where it is today. My primary responsibility is the aesthetics of the facility and grounds. I am honored to use my spiritual gifts of creativity and design where it is needed in the ministries of Northridge.
