Matt 28:19 - The Great Commission - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations"

Acts 2:47 - "and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved"

Our mission is to look with spiritual eyes at those who are hurting or lost, without Christ in their lives, and to look for opportunities to bridge the gap with them and share the good news with them.

 We are to clearly share the love of God to all people, that is our mission.

We are to GO, not just sit back and wait for them to come to us. How many of you know someone who does not have a personal relationship with God?  Our need for outreach is not done. We still have a mission to complete. As long as one person does not know Christ, it is the church's responsibility to share the good news of Christ.

A speaker once shared a startling bit of information with pastors. To show us how our culture is changing he said 8 out of 10 people do not know what John 3:16 is. Not what it says, but what it is. Some thought when they saw it at a pro game it was in reference to announcer John Maddens weight, or someone’s e-mail address. We underestimate the distance people are from knowing and understanding Christ.

1) Are we keeping Outreach in balance at Northridge?

2) Have we committed an equal amount of volunteer help, time, energy, prayer and finances to Outreach?

3) What is holding us back from fulfilling this purpose of Outreach?
