Acts 2:42 - "devoted to the fellowship"

v.44 - "all the believers were together"

v.46 - "Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread in their homes and are together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

The purpose of the great commission and the great commandment is to bring others into the fellowship both with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and with other believers.. There is an incredible blessing of being with others who are walking with Christ. Support and encouragement from the body can be such a comfort.  There is a sense of belonging that everyone longs for and through fellowship we are to help people connect with the church body. We can create avenues that build bonds within the church. You will not know everyone at Northridge, but our hope is that you will have a group of close friends who are there for you in a crunch. Lego’s have only so many connections and so do we in the area of relationships.  We all need fellowship opportunities to make solid connections.

My mom died of cancer when I was 15. The first Sunday after her death was Mothers Day and we were in church. I can’t tell you all the ways the church stepped in for us in the area of support and encouragement. I ache for those who suffer loss and tragedy without a church family to wrap their arms around them. Fellowship is an incredible blessing.

2) Have we committed an equal amount of volunteer help, time, energy, prayer and finances to Fellowship?

3) What is holding us back from fulfilling this purpose of Fellowship?
